Where The Eagles Learn To Fly

Somebody's out there in the cold
Freezing' and starving', I've been told
Breath in' the air we are breath in'
Somebody's out there in the heat
Living' in dryness and in need
Breathing' the air we are breathing'
Oh Lord, would you please have a heart
Love is so far away
Take your child to a place where no one cries
To the place where the eagle learns to fly
Only there will we find everlasting peace of mind

Somebody's stricken by disease

'You're a Special Little Spirit,'
the all great Master said,
As he gently caressed the curly blond hair
of the Little Spirit's head
'You need to go to Earth
to spend some time, you know,
A place I send most Spirits
to be tested, to learn, and grow.'
The Little Spirit, in sadness,
slowly bowed her head,
And from her eye a tear did steal
and down her cheek it shed.
'Don't you fret now little one,
I won't let you stay too long,
I'll bring you back to help me here,
You'll hardly know that you've been gone.
You're my choicest Little Spirit,
you're the apple of my eye.'
And he wiped the tear and gently kissed
His Little Spirit good-bye.
'I'm back,' the Little Spirit whispered,
as she climbed onto her Master's knee,
And the Master said, 'I told you,
you would not be long away from me.'
And then, the Lord, He noticed
still another tear welled in her eye.
'Why are you so sad, Little Spirit,
whatever should make you cry?'
'I'm glad I'm back,' the Little Spirit said,
'but Master you must surely know,
When Your Angel came to get me,
I did not want to go.
I know You said You needed me,
and that I'd be gone the shortest while,
But Lord, couldn't I have had
a little longer earthly trial?'
The Master let the Little Spirit
slip down from off His knee,
He firmly took the little hand and said,
'Come walk with Me.'
The Little Spirit and the Lord
slowly walked hand in hand,
As the Master explained her special part
in the great and marvelous plan.
'Now, Lord, I don't mean to argue,
I understand that you needed me home.
But I left in such a hurry,
I left everyone hurting and so alone.
I didn't let my earthly parents know
how much I loved them so.
I was too small to tell them Lord,
how will they ever know?
They feel they've been cheated,
and in a way, so do I.
Not getting to share any more than we did,
how can I ever tell them why?'
'Little Spirit, I know your heart is heavy
with this message you need to share.
But you need not worry anymore,
I'll watch over your loved ones there.
I'll send them loving comfort
as a strong and helping hand.
I'll contend and give peace to their aching hearts,
so they will understand.'
The Little Spirit looked up at her Master
and said 'Thank You for explaining it to me.
And could you please tell them that I'm safe and happy,
and that someday They'll be here with me?'
'Yes,' said the Lord with a smile and a nod,
I'll tell them all that I can.
Then the others came to see the Little Spirit,
as the Lord let go of her hand.
He said, 'I'll tell them that you're pure,
as pure as Heaven's Gold,
That I needed the warmth of your perfect soul
to keep Heaven from getting cold'

Way up in heavens garden
There's a magical castle in the sky
Where god places our little angels,
And teaches them to fly

The girls become sweet princesses,
And dance the day away
The boys are charming prince's
In this wondrous land of play

The castle is made of lollipops
And of all things that are sweet
There's a river made of angels tears,
For them to dip their tiny feet,

The angel tears are not tears of sadness.
They are tears of joy
To see such sights is happiness
For the chosen Angel girl or boy


For as you know, not all angels
Are picked to grace this castle in the sky
Only the tiny cherub prince's and princesses,
And here's the reason why

God has a place for all he takes
And puts them where they he deems
The little cherubs need a world of play
A land filled full of dreams

A place where they can play all day
And slide down rainbows so bright
swing from the stars if they desire
Then light the star lamps up at night

Its now they huddle close together
And some may take a snooze
Only if they wish to
Its up to them to choose

The ones that are not asleep
Are sending down their love
To you, direct from moon beams
They guide from up above

So be happy for your special cherub
From the soft clouds they will never fall
For anything good that they may wish for
Comes true here, anything at all


Its in the castle they will stay
with angels of their kind
until its their turn to open the castle gate
and its their mummy that they find


The only thing that they must do then
whilst waving goodbye to angel friends
Is walk to paradise with mummy
Just beyond the rainbows end.

Dear Loved One
I miss you so,
People say time will ease the pain
I hope so for it goes so slow
Who could ever imagine my life could change so much
I miss your smile, your loving touch
Most of the days I wear a frown
My whole world is turned upside down
There is such an emptiness now, I never knew before
A loneliness that doesn't go away, I do deplore
If only the hands of time could be turned back some way
To a year ago, a week ago, or even yesterday
Each day I must remind myself
Of how glorious it was for you
When Jesus took you by the hand and took you home
One with peace and beauty too
As for me, my life must go on
I will have to find a new start
Trying to rebuild my life, now that we are apart
I miss your laughter, your smile, our quiet times together
But your memory will embrace my heart, now and forever

How quickly can you miss someone
A week, an hour, a day,
We started missing you
The minute you went away.

We try to come to terms with it
And accept that you have gone,
But without you life is not the same
It's such a struggle to go on.

We think God must have looked down
And seen how good you were
And he needed a special angel
To lend a hand up there.

It's the only thing we can think of
What other reason could there be?
We just wish He'd send you home
And from this heartbreak we'd be free.
